研究概要

本研究計画は、東南アジア大陸部の農山村地域を対象として、土地・農業資源と農業生産力、森林資源・森林利用、生活・生業構造、農村変容など、生業や環境を包括的に取り扱う国境を越えた統合型データベースを構築して、生態資源のポテンシャリティ、農林漁業や自然産物採取などの生態資源利用の展開過程、生態資源と生活様式や生業構造との関係を明らかにした上で、生態資源管理とその経済的・制度的・文化的背景の関連性を地域間比較の視点から解明しようとするものである。そのために、平成15年度は統合型データベースの設計と生業・環境データベースの構築を実施した。データベース設計に関しては、同時並行して作業を進めている生業・環境データベースを格納するシステムを設計・試作した。また生業・環境データベースの構築に関しては、ベトナム、ラオス、ミャンマーの3カ国の農業生産や農村変容に関連するデータの収集・整理・入力・データベース化を重点的に進めるとともに、タイやカンボジアについてもその作業に着手した。その結果、約3,000の表のデータベース化が進行中である。またこれらのデータを用いた地域間比較、国間比較の分析も進めている。東南アジア大陸山地部の土地利用変容と政治経済システムの変遷やメコン川中流域を対象とした天水農業の潜在的生産力と実生産のギャップに関する分析などである。以上の成果は、次年度以降、報告書や雑誌論文などの紙媒体での発表に加えて、インターネットを介して積極的に公開する予定である。
