熱帯低湿地の湖沼沿岸生態系の生産構造と水位変動に対する応答

研究概要	これまでの湖沼沖帯の観測結果を整理し、泥炭湿地三日月湖の生物多様性と生産構造の特色を明らかにした。本川に連結した三日月湖では湖底の溶存酸素濃度が高く、ユスリカ科を中心とする底生動物の現存量が高いが、流れの停滞する孤立型三日月湖では動物プランクトン現存量が比較的高い。ユスリカの生産量は高水位期に高くなり食物網をリンクする上で重要な生物群になる。これらの生物を支える有機物としては、植物プランクトンよりも落葉リターが重要であることが予測された。そこで本年度は、流域から湖内にかけての主要な有機物の移行経路を調べ、生物多様性の機能を環境変化との関連で明らかにするため、Sabuah湖沼群(Bunter湖、Tehang湖、Batu湖、Sabuah湖)において以の観測研究を行った。 1)月1回の定期観測をSabuah湖沼群で行い、動植物プランクトンと底生動物の試料を採取した。2)水位変動特性の把握のための自記型水位センサーと雨量計を設置し、水位と降水量の連続観測を開始した。さらに湖水の混合状況を調べるために、水深0,1m及び湖底に自記型水温センサーを設置した。3)高水位期の12月にGPSプロッター測深機とノートパソコンを用いてBunter湖、Tehang湖、Batu湖の多地点測深を行った。4)Batu湖沿岸における森林植被状況を調べた。落葉リターの供給量と分解量の定量のため、Batu湖の湖畔林内にリタートラップを設置し、リター供給量の観測を開始するとともに、湖内にリターバッグを設置しリター分解実験を開始した。5)湖の植物プランクトン生産量を推定するために、明暗瓶酸素法により室内で植物プランクトンの光合成活性を調べた。6)安定同位体比により食物網を解析するため、低水位期に三日月湖より、植物プランクトンと動物プランクトン(サイズ分画により分離)、底質、底生動物、魚類、湖岸の落葉等を集めた。
