本研究では、初年度においてオンラインチューニング用DSPボードを1セット製作し、"動きながら賢くなる"を実現する自己学習認識エンジンの実現および基本動作性能を確認した。とくに、手首動作識別においてはマシン制御に応用することを前提とし、手首動作識別システムのプロトタイプを完成(1セット製作)させた。この自己学習機能を付加したオンラインチューニングによりEMGデータ採取の基礎実験を実施。その結果、個人差を吸収し、1回の学習だけでは他人のEMGに十分な識別性能が得られない場合においても、オンラインで手首を動かしながら学習データを追加し継続学習を繰り返すことで汎化性の向上を見込めることを確認した。次年度においては、EMGデータ採取用差動型乾式能動電極の回路的な改善を試みたが、これにおいては現在も進行途上である。本研究で得られた統合システムにより、EMGデータを用いて継続学習を実施することで約20%程度の識別能力の向上を確認している。また,3指ハンドを製作し、EMGデータを統合システムで採取し、パターン認識を行い予め対応させた指の動きを3指ハンドに動作させることにも成功している。研究業績としては、6回の国際会議での講演、6回の国内一般講演が列挙できる。製作物としては、オンラインチューニング用DSPボード1セットと2台のDSPボード用アンプユニット、さらに、マシンコントロールの動作確認用3指ハンド1セットが列挙できる。
