語彙認識のメカニズムと音韻情報に関する総合的研究

研究概要

初年度の研究では、研究計画案に従って以下の3点について研究を実施した。
(1)心内辞書における語彙候補の活性時における音韻単位の解明
初年度では、ローマ字知識を持たない小学3年生(60名)を被験者として実験を実施し、音素による語彙候補の活性化が存在するか否かの検証を行った。実験課題は、「語彙の再構築」と呼ばれるもので、有意味語の語頭の子音、母音、モーラの3種の音韻単位を操作した無意味語から元の有意味語を復元させる実験で、反応時間と誤答率から音韻単位の推定を行った。今回の実験では、語頭と語中で検証を行ったが、いずれも成人から得た結果と殆ど同一の結果となった。このことから、日本語話者は語彙候補の活性時には音素に基づく可能性が高いことを明らかにした。
(2)語彙候補の活性化におけるプロソディの機能の解明
初年度では、無アクセント地域(福島県)のみで育った若い世代(高校2年生)を対象に語彙候補の活性化にプロソディの機能が有効に機能しない可能性を検証した。実験課題は、Gating taskである。実験結果は、これまでに実施した熊本方言話者から得られたものとほとんど同一の結果が得られた。このことから無アクセント方言話者は、語彙候補の活性化においてプロソディを有効活用する程度は、東京方言話者よりも劣ることを示唆するものである。
(3)心内辞書における音節構造内の音節とモーラの音韻表示の解明
初年度では、日系ブラジル人を対象に単一言語話者と日本語との二言語話者によって音節構造内における音韻単位の認識の検証を行った。実験課題は、先行研究で用いた単語内の音韻単位を明らかにするVocal motor taskで、日系ブラジル人(日本語とポルトガル語)を被験者として実験を行った。実験の結果は、ポルトガル語の単一言語話者は、音節を認識するが、二言語話者は、音節とモーラの両単位を認識する可能性が高いことを明らかにした。
