非線形拡散方程式系と関連する楕円型微分方程式系の研究

研究概要

本年度に扱った研究課題は相転移現象を記述する半線形拡散方程式の解集合の構造、および準線形拡散項を伴う数理生態学モデルの正値定常解の2つに大別される。
相転移現象モデルで解析した方程式はゼロNeumann境界条件下での
u_{t}=ε^{2}u_{xx}+u(1-u)(u-a(x))
である。このタイプの反応拡散方程式については拡散係数εが非常に小さいときには多種多様な定常解の存在が知られている。とりわけ、関数の値が急激に変化する内部遷移層や棘のような形状を示すスパイクといったものを持つ解が最大の関心の的である。当研究では方程式に空間非一様性をもたらす関数a(x)に着目し、内部遷移層が現れる位置はa(x)=1をみたすxの近傍であること、スパイクが現れる位置はa(x)が極値を取る点xの近傍であることを示した。さらに、いかなる条件下で多重内部遷移層や多重スパイクが現れるかについても詳しい結果を得ている。
数理生態学モデルでは拡散が個体数密度にも依存するprey-predatorモデル
u_{t}=Δ[(1+αv)u]+au(1-u-cv),v_{t}=Δ[v/(1+βu)]+bv(1+du-v)
を解析した。これはu, vをそれぞれprey, predatorの個体数密度とするモデルであり、いかなる条件下で正値定常解(共存解)が存在するか、その条件を導くことが重要である。われわれは、分岐理論を用いて共存解が存在するための十分条件、および共存解の非存在を保証する十分条件を導くことに成功した。定常解の形状やその個数に関する研究は今後の課題である。
