有機色素J凝集体の共鳴三次非線形光学機能の超高速化

研究概要

1.シアニン色素のJ凝集体含有ポリビニルアルコール被覆膜の三次非線形光学応答
シアニン色素NK-3261含有ポリビニルアルコール被覆膜は成膜直後にはモノマーのみを含むが、40℃前後かつ高湿度の条件で2,3日処理することにより、モノマーはほとんどJ凝集体に変わる。このJ凝集体含有ポリビニルアルコール被覆膜の三次非線形光学機能を共鳴条件下フェムト秒縮退四光波混合法で評価したところ、三次非線形光学応答は瞬時の電子応答が大きな寄与を示した。しかし、数ピコ秒の時定数の遅い応答が裾を引くことがわかった。三次非線形光学応答は色素濃度5wt%-20wt%において全く変化が見られなかった。また、秒縮退四光波混合法で、最初に照射するビーム1とビーム2の偏光を直交させても三次非線形光学応答は変わらず、J凝集体の横緩和は縦緩和と同じ速度であることがわかった。つまり、J凝集体間には高濃度であっても相互作用が全くないことになる。尚、三次非線形感受率の値は、色素濃度にほぼ比例し、色素濃度5wt%-20wt%においてJ凝集体の構造には変化が見られないことがわかった。
2.ポルフィリン誘導体含有ゾルゲル被覆膜の三次非線形光学応答
水溶性のポルフィリン誘導体であるTMPyP及びTPPSを含有した被覆膜を作製し、可視紫外吸収スペクトルを測定したところ、モノマーとJ凝集体を含有することがわかった。J凝集体の波長にレーザーの波長を合わせることはできなかったが、モノマーの共鳴フェムト秒縮退四光波混合信号の高速応答は、J凝集体の存在により大幅に改善されることがわかった。
