研究概要

本研究の目的は,ワイヤレス・モバイル端末を用いたユビキタスコンピューティング環境において,学習者個人個人にあった形で,適応的に日常的な学びを支援するユビキタス協調学習環境のフレームワークをデザインし,実際にシステムを開発・評価することである.特に,学習者中心の学習デザインに立ち,いつでもどこでも(anytime and anywhere)利用できる学習環境を提供するだけでなく,適切な場所で適切な時に適切な教材や解決方法,並びに協調学習のきっかけを与える学習環境RTRPL(Right Time and Right Place learning)を目指す.
特に言語学習は,辞書やテキストを用いた学習だけでなく,日常生活で獲得される部分も大きいと考えられており,本研究では言語学習を対象としたユビキタス学習環境を構築した.具体的には,平成17年度は,以下の3つのサブシステムを開発し、評価を行った.
研究成果は,国際会議IEEE WMTE2005(International Workshop on Wireless and Mobile Technologies in Education)に出席し,4件の発表を行い、情報処理学会論文誌、教育システム情報学会誌、International Journal of Continuous Engineering Education and Lifelong Learningなど、国内外の論文誌にも数多く、発表した。
