研究実績の概要 |
During the first year the design of the filter cavity was realized. Following the study the realization of the filter cavity mirrors could be started. The input telescope study was also completed so to allow the definition of the optics specifications. One of the filter cavity suspensions was assembled and its position control system implemented. The work on the filter cavity was done in collaboration with the laboratory "Astroparticules et Cosmologie" in Paris. A PhD student visited NAOJ three times to work on this project. A paper on this work was submitted to Physical Review D and accepted. In parallel the design of the squeezer started as well. The second harmonic generator was designed and built. This work was done in collaboration with Prof. Schnabel at the University of Hamburg (Germany) and with Beijing Normal University in China. A master student from China visited NAOJ to work on this project.

理由
According to the original plan both the development of the filter cavity and of the squeezed vacuum source were started during the first year of the project. The unspent amount generated as a result of review of the research plan will be used in FY2016 by utilizing the "Chosei-kin (adjustment money) System

今後の研究の推進方策 |
During the second year we plan to realize the filter cavity mirrors and install them so to form the high finesse cavity. In parallel we need to install the optics required to inject the beam into the cavity. Squeezer developments are mainly OPO (Optical parametric oscillator) part constructions. To obtain a squeezed vacuum light, three beams are necessary. One is a green light of 532 nm in wavelength. This beam is provided by our custom-made SHG system. The other two beams of 1064 nm will be prepared in this year. Finally, by using these three beams with OPO crystal we will generate the squeezed light.
