| 研究実績の概要 |
I visited New Zealand between September 17th and 28th in order to interview leading activists and artists who played leading roles in the ant-nuclear movement. I was able to meet six such leaders and to verify the extent to which images of Hiroshima and Nagasaki had impacted their perceptions and subsequent work.
I wrote a paper entitled 「広島を目撃したマオリ詩人ホネトゥファーレ」which was published in『オーストラリア・ニュージーランド文学論集』published by sairyusha on March 31st 2017. In this paper I traced the influence which the time Hone Tuwhare spent as a member of the J-force in postwar Japan and his encounter with the aftermath of Hiroshima had on his subsequent poetry.

理由
I was able to verify the extent to which New Zealand anti-nuclear artists were exposed to images of Hiroshima and Nagasaki preceding their involvement in the NZ anti-nuclear movement, and how these experiences influenced their work.
I was able to present a portion of my findings to the Japanese public by publishing a paper regarding Hone Tuwhare and his connections to Japan and Hiroshima.

I will present the remaining portions of my findings in a paper written for academic circles.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Due to time restrictions I was unable to spend as much time as I needed in New Zealand. I need further time in New Zealand to complete this research.

I plan to take another trip to New Zealand to further my investigations.
