研究実績の概要 |
From research at the Folger and Bodleian Libraries, I added two refereed articles to 'Lost Plays Database' under the editorial guidance of David McInnis at the University of Melbourne.
I tripled the size of four prior publications at LPD to include new findings since my initial publication. My refereed article on the Paul’s Cross will be published at the 'Map of Early Modern London' in FY 2017. This site is under the editorial guidance of Janelle Jenstad of the University of Victoria.
I presented on DH research at the Bodleian Center for Digital Scholarship, Oxford. This was an invited, plenary presentation hosted by Pip Wilcox. I also presented at the JAHD conference at the University of Tokyo and at the Liberlit conference at TWCU. I have continued to maintain the EMDH Japan website.

現在までの達成度 (区分)
1: 当初の計画以上に進展している
理由
Research has progress at a rapid pace and has led to expansive areas that were not planned initially. I have recently worked with prominent church historians on a digital platform for early modern sermons.
This rapid pace and scheduling conflicts have delayed my stated objective to host three workshops in FY 2016. However, I did host Martin Ingram of Oxford, for a talk that involved the use of EEBO-TCP. Also, because I have been engaged in the area of 16th-century sermons and lost plays, I have had to push back the plan to edit digital editions of Marlowe.
I accomplished more than planned in the area of research and writing, having completed three articles to be sent out for review next year. Also I was able to schedule the Shakespearean actor, Ben Crystal, for a DH workshop in May.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In FY 2017 I plan to submit three articles for publication, all of which explore currently and future possibilities in digital humanities research.
I also will read at 日本英文学会 and Tokyo Humanities Cafe (hosted by Alex Watson of Nagoya University) during the first semester. During summer recess, I will read at the DH2017 Conference hosted by McGill University in Montreal, and the Before Shakespeare Conference, hosted by the University of Roehampton in London. During second semester, I will be a panel member at the 日本シェイクスピア協会, a panel hosted by Emi Hamana of TWCU and entitled 'The Outcomes and Possibilities of Digital Humanities in Shakespeare Studies'. I will also participate again at the Liberlit conference.
Finally I will continue the digital development projects from FY 2015 and FY 2016.
