研究成果の概要

本研究では、(1)ハワイ島コナ在住日系2世の生活経験を中心に現地調査とその分析。日本の神道信仰がアイデンティティー形成と相関があると提示。(2)調査分析後、「Rural Isolation and Dual Cultural Existence: The Japanese American Kona Coffee Community」を単著で出版。（３）「The Destruction of a Religion: Japanese Shintoism after the Attack on Pearl Harbor」の小論文を海外の学会誌へ投稿。以上を研究成果として順調に行うことができた。
