During AY2017, I continued to reanalyze the copies data from a variety of different angles. Based on the emergent results of the whole project, I disseminated/am in the process of disseminating findings regarding: (1) Mismatches between industry needs for English and students’ own beliefs (2017 article); (2) Messages from significant others and society that students bring into the classroom with them about English (2017 article & presentation); (3) The ways in which students feel obligations about studying English from expectations of those around them (2016 presentations); (4) The development of classroom activities about students hopes for classmates’ actions and their own endeavors to act on these hopes of peers (2017 presentation, article under review); (5) The individual and locally-specified nature of classroom motivational dynamics (article under review); (6) The ways in which student feelings in the classroom emerged through a confluence of perceptions of activities, individual transportable identities, and understandings of the actions of others (2018 presentation, article manuscript in preparation); (7) The use of action research in situated classroom research (2018 book chapter); (8) The use of complexity perspectives on language learner psychology (2018 symposium & edited methodological volume in preparation).
