The analysis of the data was done between May 2016 and July 2016. Results were disseminated via the following four presentations at international conferences: 1) Aubrey, S. & Watkins, J. (2016, August). Facilitating directed motivational currents with language learning projects. Paper presented at the 9th Malaysia International Conference on Languages, Literatures and Cultures, Penang, Malaysia. 2) Aubrey, S. (2016, June). Effect of task repetition and intercultural contact on Japanese EFL learners’ attention to form. Paper presented at the 2016 Task-Based Language Teaching in Asian Conference in Kyoto, Japan. 3) Aubrey, S. (2016, September). The role of task design and implementation in improving learners' affective responses and performance engagement. Colloquium paper presented at the 35th Second Language Research Forum, Columbia University Teacher's College, New York, USA. 4) Aubrey, S. (2017, March). Task-based interaction and motivational flow. Paper presented at the English Language in Education and Research Conference, Mount Kenya University in Kigali, Rwanda.
From August 2016 to March 2017, two papers were written. The following paper has been accepted for publication: Aubrey, S. (In press). Measuring flow in the EFL classroom: learners' perceptions of inter- and intra- cultural task-based interactions. TESOL Quarterly, 2017 Special Issue. The second paper, which looks at designing and implementing intercultural tasks in the EFL classroom, has been submitted to ELT journal and is currently pending review.
