研究実績の概要 |
1. established critical contacts in key industries to be examined in this research project (traditional craft, fashion, food) through attendance at industry events. This is an important step to secure interviews with industry representatives. 2. clarified method by which to undertake overseas research in order to achieve research objectives. This was a critical development necessitated by the revised accepted research plan and budget from the original submission. 3. presented conference paper extending the research results from project 23730375 in relation to this project: "Offshoring, Entry modes, and Country Brands: Do Consumers Care?" at Academy of International Business (AIB) Australia New Zealand Chapter symposium, 20 November 2015, Brisbane. (separate research funds) 4. presented invited lecture on "Authenticity and Provenance: Does country of origin matter in a world of offshoring?" at Musashi University, 11 December 2015, Tokyo.

Increased administrative burden: delegated as responsible for admissions for program (November 2014-July 2015) resulted in an unanticipated slow start during the critical preparation and early research phase. Anticipate being back on schedule by end of FY2016

1. confirm interviewees, data collection, survey instrument May-August 2016 2. conduct domestic (Japan) data collection September-December 2016 3. conduct overseas research from January 2017-March 2018 4. dissemination of research results April 2018-March 2019 (as per original schedule)

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
As raised above, a delay to planning in FY2015 caused the data collection (specifically travel expenses for interviews and associated Research Assistant payments) to be delayed. This will be conducted over FY2016 and anticipate bringing the project back on schedule.

次年度使用額の使用計画 |
Domestic travel for purposes of interviews with Japanese firms and government officials in traditional crafts, fashion, and food sectors, combined with the employ of a Research Assistant to expedite this will be carried out over FY2016.
