November 2019: Presented a paper at the International Place Branding Association (IPBA) annual conference that outlined the efforts of five (5) prefectures in Japan to take their traditional craft overseas and analysed their observed strategies to develop a cohesive and authentic brand identity and projected brand image. January 2020: conducted final interview and observational research of Japanese providers/exhibitors at major trade show Maison&Objet with results to be published in AY2020. April 2020: Published book chapter in Springer publication on internationalisation and innovation in Japan's traditional craft focusing on Kyoto's artisans and merchants
