研究実績の概要 |
In 2015, the applicant finished the literature review, and two steel-concrete composite beams were designed and built. The loading tests on two specimens were performed in January 2016, and different load eccentricities were used to apply the different negative bending / torsion ratios. Test results, including the applied load-displacement curves, strain development and distribution in different structural members, the crack formation and development process, and slip on the steel-concrete interface etc., were recorded. The failure modes, including the through crack of the concrete slab and the local deformation on the steel flange were also confirmed in the tests. On the basis of the test results, the mechanical behavior of steel-concrete composite beams under combined negative bending and torsion was tested, and the interaction relationship between negative bending and torsional moments was investigated. In addition, a paper entitled “Steel-Concrete Composite Beams Subjected to Combined Hogging Bending and Torsion” is under review for possible publication in the Eighth International Conference on Steel and Aluminum Structures to be held in Hong Kong.

理由
The following tasks were finished by the applicant in 2015: (1) Literature review about the current research situation of mechanical behavior of steel-concrete composite beams were performed, and the results were used to make a detailed research plan; (2) Two steel-concrete specimens were prepared at the end of 2015, and different sensors were installed in the specimen during the construction. The specimen was 4600mm in length, and the concrete slab thickness was 250mm with a width of 800mm; (3) The loading tests were performed in January, 2016, and the effects of torsion moments in composite beams under negative bending moments were confirmed. The data obtained from the loading tests will be used to confirm the mechanical behavior of steel-concrete composite beams under combined negative bending and torsional moments, and those data will also be used for the numerical analysis to be performed in 2016 and 2017, and (4) A conference paper was prepared and is currently under review for possible publication in the Eighth International Conference on Steel and Aluminum Structures to be held in Hong Kong.
Therefore, up to now this research progress smoothly.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In 2016 and 2017, the numerical simulation of the loading tests will be performed. By using the test results, a FE model that capable of simulating the composite beams subjected to combined torsion and negative bending moment can be developed. The purpose is to propose a suitable numerical modeling method for such structures. The test results, including the load-displacement response, the strain development and distribution, as well as the slip on the interface etc. will be used to verify the numerical results.
Thereafter, the performed studies can be promoted into composite beams with various parameters by using numerical methods. Parametric analyses will be performed to investigate the effects of negative bending / torsion ratios on the mechanical performance of such beams. The results obtained from parametric study can be used for understanding the mechanical behavior of the composite beams under combined torsion and negative bending moments, and design guidelines for improving structural performance of such structures can be proposed.
