研究実績の概要

In 2016, experimental results were firstly summarized, and then numerical simulation of the loading tests was performed. By using the test results, a FE model that capable of simulating composite beams subjected to combined torsion and negative bending moments was developed. The validity of the numerical model was verified by using the experimental results, including the applied load-displacement relationships, failure modes, the applied load-strains relationships, as well as the slip on the interface etc. On the basis of the experimental results and numerical results, three conference papers (two international conferences and one domestic conference) were published. In addition, the results were also published as a case study in the book of “Bridge Engineering: Classifications, Design Loading, and Analysis Methods”.

理由

As planned, the following research tasks have been performed in 2016:
1. Analyses and summary of the existing experimental results. The test results were used to confirm the mechanical behavior of steel-concrete composite beams subjected to combined negative bending and torsional moments.
2. Numerical models for simulating the present loading tests were built, and the validity of this model was demonstrated by comparing with the results obtained in the loading tests.
3. On the basis of the experimental and numerical results, three conference papers and a case-study paper (published in the book of “Bridge Engineering”) was published. In addition, another two papers are under preparation.

Therefore, the progressing of this research is rather smoothly, and more results will be summarized in 2017.

今後の研究の推進方策

In 2017, the numerical simulation of the loading tests will be promoted into composite beams with various parameters by using numerical methods. Parametric analysis considering more detailed torsion/ultimate torsion ratios will be conducted to investigate the performance of such beams. The results from the parametric study can be used for understanding the mechanical behavior of the composite beams under combined torsion and negative bending moments, and design guidelines for improving structural redundancy of such structures can be proposed.

The experimental tests and numerical results will be published in academic journals and international conferences. One conference paper and two journals papers will be submitted for possible publication in an international conference and two international journals in 2017.

次年度使用額が生じた理由

The test results and numerical results of this research will be summarized and published in international journals, and domestic and international conferences. Page cost and travel expenses are needed. Also, the computation devices such as a computer and data storage device like a hard disk are necessary for the numerical analyses. In addition, some reference books will also be needed for this research.

次年度使用額の使用計画

The travel expenses for domestic and international conferences will be around 120 thousands JPY and 240 thousands JPY, respectively. The computation devices will cost around 130 thousands JPY, and the consumables cost will be around 60 thousands JPY. The reference books will cost about 40 thousands JPY. In addition, the indirect cost will be 150 thousands JPY.
