The research work is progressed satisfactorily. We were successful in understanding the liquid-vapour phase change phenomena using laser based diagnostic techniques. The time domain thermoreflectance setup was designed to measure the liquid-vapour interfacial resistance when a liquid droplet was impinging on the hot surfaces.The research work need to be extended to measure the thickness of the vapour layer during the phase change process. Further experiments need to be done on surfaces with different wettability to understand the formation of insulating layer and interfacial resistance.
