研究実績の概要 |
In the previous fiscal year we have focused on the fabrication of ionic liquid based material via 3D printing utilizing the most popular printing methods named fused deposition modeling (FDM) and stereolithography (SLA) process. For FDM process IL-based conductive nanocomposite filaments have been developed and printed via 3D printing process along with their material characterization. The nanocomposites along with polymer of IL possess high conductivity and appropriate for preparing flexible circuits due to suitable mechanical ductility. The result are currently summerizing to file patent and publish in a scientific journal. In a different approach, ionic gels in IL assisted medium via thiol-ene click reaction have been successfully printed by SLA process with precise structures up to microscale resolution. Conductive, mechanical and other physicochemical properties have been explored to get the proper understanding of the ionic gel materials. The gels were found to be highly transparent, soft, thermally stable and posses adequate conductivity. These materials are promising in the field of sensing and actuation application. The research outcome has been submitted in a peer reviewed journal for publication. In the meantime have gained significant knowledge in other field of industrial research by attending overseas internship at a global company.

理由
Development of ionic gels using variety of combination has been the primary concern. Here it can be noted that I have not only successfully synthesized but also achieved promising results in developing new types of ionic gels via 3D printing. Also,a new type of highly conductive composite materials based on ionic liquid, its polymer and CNT have been possible to fabricate via 3D printing as well. These are one the very pioneering materials in the field of 3D printing. Already gained permission to file patent from university and submitted some other work in peer reviewed journal. I have also joined international internship at a global company (BASF SE, Germany) and attended in international and domestic conferences to widen my views and making myself capable to become a global leader.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
After achieving desired results on 3D printing of conductive gels and composites in the current fiscal year would like to develop new materials with added advantage in the application field like increasing conductivity of the ionic gels, adding functional materials to enhance applicability of the ionic gels in battery, sensor and actuator field. The other plan is to make actuator or sensor with the ionic liquid based conductive nano-composites. As this is the final year of doctoral course, so publishing research outcome in scientific journals and working for patent will be given priority along with advancing research.
