研究実績の概要 |
I study on highly phosphorescent emission novel vaulted platinum complexes bearing unprecedented heteroaromatic platform to investigate their photophysical properties and understand the principles of emission enhancement in solution and solid states. It is fascinating that I found the unprecedented phenomenon of concentration- and temperature-dependent emission properties of these vaulted platinum complexes. Topic 1: Generally, many luminescent compounds undergo emission quenching in high concentration, which was known as aggregation caused emission quenching. However, I found that chiral polymethylene-vaulted trans-bis(2-imidazolylaldiminato)Pt(II) complexes are more emissive in higher concentrations due to the association in dimeric form. Topic 2: I got extremely high heat-resistant crystals of polymethylene-vaulted trans-bis(pyrazolyladiminato)Pt(II) complexes which emit intense green emission. Moreover, it is rare case that these crystals become more emissive with the increasing of temperature.

理由
Topic 1: I fully characterized the photophysical and aggregation behaviors chiral polymethylene-vaulted trans-bis(2-imidazolylaldiminato)Pt(II) complexes in various concentrations and solid states. Then I analyzed data and tried to understand the correlation between dimer association and emission properties in the condensed states, Topic 2: I synthesized and investigated emission properties of polymethylene-vaulted trans-bis(pyrazolyladiminato)Pt(II) complexes which show characteristic phosphorescent properties in solution and solid states. The significant solvatochromism in emission was observed in various solvents. In addition, they exhibit clear ON-OFF controllability for emission which are completely quenched with acid and recovered with additional base. In crystalline state, they exhibit highly yellow emission and heat-resistant properties. Their molecular packings were investigated using X-ray diffusion analysis to figure out favorable factors for solid-state emission.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In this year, I plan to focus on summarizing the research results for publications that will hopefully have a significant influence on the related fields of chemistry. First is emission enhancement controlled by association chirality of vaulted trans-bis(2-imidazolylaldiminato)Pt(II) complexes. Second is solid-state phosphorescence of vaulted trans-bis(2-imidazolylaldiminato)Pt(II) complexes: crystal design for intense emission based on controlled homo- and heteochiral molecular alignment. Third is synthesis, structure and emission properties of polymethylene-vaulted trans-bis(pyrazolyladiminato)Pt(II) complexes. Finally, I will try all my best to write my doctoral dissertation for my graduation.
