| 研究実績の概要 |
We continued the survey and finalized it by collecting more data. We analyzed the collected data, and identified some factors and drivers for supply chain risks in the studied companies. We conducted hypothesis testing along with a cluster analysis to develop a supply chain risk model.
Also, I finalized editing the book entitled “Supply Chain Risk Management: Advanced Tools, Models, and Developments” which was published by Springer in 2017. It includes 18 chapters organized in three sections which address the most recent research findings in the field of supply chain risk management.

理由
The analyzing phase of the research is going well. We will soon start to summarize the research findings. The objective is to formulate the characteristics of the risk management in Japanese electronics industry.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
By focusing on the electronics industry in Japan, we will keep analyzing the data and will summarize the research findings in this industry. We will formulate the characteristics of the risk management in Japanese electronics industry.
We will also generalize the findings based on the data of the companies in the two industries and will develop a new model to formulate the supply chain risk in Japanese companies.
We will have discussions with our research collaborators (including Prof. Afshin Mansouri of Brunel University, in UK), in order to have their comments specially in formulating the model of supply chain risk management.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
I had been invited by Japan Industrial Management Association (JIMA) to make a presentation at its annual workshop in Naha city last year. But, just the day before the workshop, it was canceled because of a typhoon in Naha. So, I will use the left over money to attend upcoming JIMA workshop this year.
Also, my co-investigator, Prof. Kainuma, had the plan to participate in the APIEMS and ACMSA conferences in last December, but he had to cancel them just because of an emergency medical problem and his hospitalization. He is planning to participate in OSCM conference in Cranfield University, UK, this year.
