| 研究実績の概要 |
As part of the first phase (2016), I have completed a first preliminary round of archival work (Delhi, Kolkata and Mysore/ 30th September 2016 to 8th October 2016) and followed this up with interviews.
The archival work and libraries was with regard to matters that looked at nineteenth century irrigation in colonial India.
Based on this first round, I presented a paper titled‘Floods, Disasters and Re-tooling History : Can cross-disciplinary dialogues help Policy-making?’ Conference on Disastrous Pasts: New Directions in Asian Disaster History
National University Singapore, 21st-22nd November, 2016.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
In the second round of archival searches I will have a prolonged study of the sources at the Mahatma Gandhi Library at the Indian Institute of Technology (Roorkee). After the study in Roorkee, I will also hope to visit the National Archives in (Delhi, India) and hold a small workshop in Delhi. Depending on the availability of materials, there might be some changes in the travel plan and the plan of the workshop.
