研究実績の概要 |
The currently research aimed to assess the soil microbial community, activity, growth and soil fertility in fruit orchards soils of Japan. In total 13 kinds of fruits were evaluated (Apple, Cherry, Chestnut, Grape, Japanese pear, Kiwi, Mandarin, Mango, Japanese apricot, Peach, Persimmon, Pineapple and Plum). Although overarching dominant taxa had occurred, the abundance, diversity, and composition were sometimes specific according to the fruit type. The microbial richness was generally higher in northern regions than in southern. In addition, the Shannon-Wiener index was correlated with pH, extractable Ca and Mg, and soil microbial biomass - Carbon. The soil microbial community in fruit orchards depend on land use (fruit species) and are sometimes correlated to soil chemical properties.
