研究実績の概要 |
Evidence-based brand therapies are all about equally effective and explain less than 10 percent of outcome. To overcome it, Beutler et al.(1990, 2000, 2006) have moderately resolved by the evidence that all effective therapies can be described by discriminating patterns of behavior and “fit” between functional clusters of interventions and aspects of the client and problem presented, called Systematic Treatment Selection (STS). The Keken Study of the first year explored the degree to which a 90 minutes online training program based on STS therapy principles (Beutler-30 minutes/Japanese Subtitle) and 8 STS principles (Kimpara-60 minutes) were reliably understood and helpful among 180 participants. 137 completed the training/evaluation. Since the majority of participants (n=125) were undergraduate students, the results of their evaluations confirmed the potential usefulness of STS principles in training and suggested ways to build a training program for undergraduate students. These findings are relevant to the pending changes to the national licensing system for undergraduate program which will be executed in 2018. Specifically, the findings suggest that undergraduate students are able to understand the basic concepts of evidence-based practice and fundamental relationship principles, but it may be challengeable (need more practice and training) to understand patient's characteristics/matching interventions in clinical settings. Moreover, the investigators continue to brush up the training materials and reach out population over undergraduates this coming year.

理由
The researchers were able to develop an online training program (90 minutes) and to recruit 180 participants. 137 completed the training program/feedback but the majority of the participants were undergraduate students. The result gave a meaningful perspective to therapist training for undergraduate programs

今後の研究の推進方策 |
1.Develop a revised training (3.5 hours) for this introduction of STS/STS Principle Training and obtain the feedback of this training from participants who are more than graduates at Japanese Stress Management Conference on 7/29/2017. 2.Develop a therapist training material (2 days training to learn the STS 8 principles in clinical practice) and obtain the feedback. Then, if possible, conduct a pilot study of client outcome/therapist intervention.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
We received a report from Prof. Tsuda (Kurume University), and he will use 100,000 yen next academic year.
|
次年度使用額の使用計画 |
He will use it as travel cost to visit/discuss with Prof. Beutler (consultant and founder of Systematic Treatment Selection) in the U.S. regarding these research findings and further research project.
