| 研究実績の概要 |
This study aims to identify host responses in whole blood of children infected with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) using proteomics approach. Approval from ethics committee were obtained at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, Sendai Medical Center, and Miyagi Children’s Hospital. Pilot experiments were successfully performed including collection of peripheral blood samples, isolation and purification of total RNA and proteins.

Enrollment of children infected with respiratory syncytial virus at Sendai Medical Center and Miyagi Children’s Hospital. Collection of blood samples from patients. Isolation and purification of RNA and proteins. Proteome profiling of patients by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The amount incurred was appropriated for reagents for sample collection and proteomics. Since the approval from ethics committee was obtained in December 2016, we plan to purchase these reagents in 2017.
