研究実績の概要 |
I focused on further developing my doctoral thesis to publish each chapter of the thesis in international journals. First, the additional collection and analysis of data I gathered for my doctoral dissertation was conducted. I presented my preliminary findings at several prestigious conferences in the field of Industrial Relations and Organizational Studies. In particular, Prof. Kyung-hee Yu at University of New South Wales, who has have done research on institutional change, organizational politics and trade unions, showed her interest in my research at the Labor and Employment Relations Associations (LERA) 67th Annual Meeting held in Pittsburg. We started to collaborate on one of my research projects. We co-authored an article which highlights the role of conflictual political process in the dynamics of institutional change. The article was accepted to the 31st European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) annual colloquium in Naples, Italy and now is under review at Organizational Science. Furthermore, I started looking into the conflict dynamics after the end of the strike. Especially, I paid attention to abusive supervision between the senior and junior organizational members in the post-strike situation, a notion which has recently drawn on a lot of scholarly interest in the field of organizational behavior. The paper won the best paper award in Korean Academy of Management conference. I also managed to publish several articles in prestigious, international journals, which I’ve been working on with my colleagues in Canada, Australia and Korea.

理由
I could initiate several new research projects with the aid of the JSPS Kakenhi grant. For instance, I began collecting data on the emergence of ‘workers center’ in South Korea. In the long term, this research project aims at a comparative study on employee representation alternative to trade unions between South Korea and Japan. I was also invited to write several book chapters on workplace conflict and Human Resource Management in Asia. I took the opportunities to sum up my past and on-going research and lay the ground for the future research I’ll be conducting in Saitama university. Over all, it was a very fruitful year for me to manage to accomplish the goals I set up last year. The support of the Tenure Track program and the JSPS was essential to make such accomplishment, allowing me to concentrate on my research.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
1. 論文の草案完成、国際ジャーナルに投稿(3編): Academy of Management Annual Meeting, European Group for Organizational Studies conference, Canadian Sociology Association conferenceに論文が通過し、発表する予定 2. 提出後、受精の要請を受けた論文を補強した後、再び提出(2編): Organizational Science, Human Resource Management Journalで審査の進行中 3. 海外および国内学会で研究発表

数回の国際学会に出席する予定であり、カナダ、韓国、東南アジア諸国でデータ収集のために出張する予定ができたからです
