研究概要

左前頭葉の一部「文法中枢」に脳腫瘍がある患者で純粋な文法障害が生じることを実証しました。左前頭葉に脳腫瘍を持つ患者に文法判断テストを実施し、その腫瘍部位を磁気共鳴映像法(MRI)で調べたところ、左前頭葉の一部である「文法中枢」に腫瘍がある患者では、左前頭葉の他の部位に腫瘍がある患者より誤答率が高くなりました。臨床的には失語症と診断されていないにもかかわらず、今回のように顕著な文法障害(「失文法」)が特定されたのは初めてのことです。
