研究概要

神経分化のプロセスや成熟神経細胞の可塑性において、複数のタンパク質の発現タイミングを同期的に制御し、またその発現量を微調整するために、RNA結合タンパク質が担う翻訳調節・mRNA安定性制御など転写後調節が重要な働きをしていることが明らかになった。本研究において、MusashiやHu、Hzfなど神経系に発現するRNA結合タンパク質の機能解析により、神経幹細胞から神経細胞への分化段階や成熟過程を転写後調節により制御する機構が明らかになった。
