研究概要

本研究では、体細胞クローン技術の開発により正常な発育と繁殖機能を示すクラウン系ミニブタクローン個体を初めて誕生させ、異種移植のドナーとなる遺伝子改変ミニブタ作製の新規技術の開発を推進している。ミニブタの内在性レトロウイルスに関しては、ヒトへの感染性は低く、抗エイズ薬AZT の有効性を見出した。また、異種間の免疫反応へのHigh Mobility Group Box-1とCD4+CD25+制御性T細胞の関与を明らかにした。
