理由
Dr. Zardai sets out to finish revising and upgrading his book manuscript, and publish it as a book. He is currently in talks with a publisher, MIT Press, and has gone through the material two times. He is working now with the guidance of an editor. This is going according to schedule, and the manuscript can be sent off to the publisher within the next months. One of the other goals of his JSPS fellowship was to publish materials from the book as papers. He has published a paper and a book review, and has two papers under review. He also finished another project, addressing the ethics of AI. The paper written with a Dutch researcher is now also under review. He wrote two other papers which He is preparing now for publication. He has also applied materials from his book to a well-known problem in experimental philosophy and psychology. His book employs a distinction between voluntariness and intentionality. He puts to use this distinction to provide an original interpretation of the widely discussed Knobe-effect. Based on his interpretation of Knobe’s data it might be possible to set up an experiment in the future. During his tenure He read up on topics that he can address during his future work. He has done research on the ethics of AI, and on topics in moral philosophy, focusing on blame and responsibility. He has also read a great amount of political philosophy and international relations theory; mainly on international justice, equality, and exploitation. This new knowledge will help him in writing his next book, and to improve his competencies as a teacher and supervisor.
