研究実績の概要 |
We focused on the rational design and synthesis of hollow structured functional materials using MOFs as self-sacrificial templates. Firstly, we have summarized the method and mechanism for the synthesis of hollow structural compounds using MOF as a template. A brief review article about various MOF-derived hollow micro-/nano-structures in view of construction of MOF composite precursors was also prepared.
We tried to synthesize polymetallic MOFs by introducing appropriate metal ions or salts via a multidoping strategy to obtain the desired complex nanostructures. This experiment is at the initial stage and more parameters will be tried later.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Hollow particles with enhanced surface area and shortened distance for mass/charge transfer are highly favorable for electrocatalytic reactions due to the presence of more exposed active sites. Exploring novel synthetic protocols for hollow structures is surely one of the most important research directions in the future. The unique chemical constitution of MOFs allows the facile tuning of their microstructures and properties through the proper selection of metal ions and/or ligands as the building blocks, making MOFs promising as versatile precursors or sacrificial templates for the synthesis of functional hollow nanostructures.
