研究実績の概要 |
According to the project goals, the research focus is on investigating how the models and technology for developing software for personalized travel information services evolve. In 2018, our research covered three major aspects: 1) Improving location information accuracy for creating more accurate trip timelines and for improving user post-travel experience; 2) Analysis of particularities of collaborative trip planning scenarios; 3) Developing a methodology to mobile application testing required for a broad range of present-day mobile application, including the travel-centric systems that might include non-standard interface components with complex graphics and hand-drawn interfaces.

理由
We developed the following prove-of-concept mobile software: - assisting app for location accuracy management; - algorithms for collaboration travel planning covering important real-life scenarios required in many traveler-centric systems. We made serious efforts in improving tools for testing mobile applications, which are the crucial end-user components of every present-day human-centered system. This works were completed according the goals established in the previous reports, including conference paper preparations for publishing the results of these efforts. Thus, the research is progressing rather smoothly.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In 2019, we have to continue the conceptual investigation of the domain-specific ontology design more intensively with respect to particular usage scenarios, including event-based and situational planning. Based on subject domain ontology models and classification of collected user stories, we plan to implement the proof-of-concept mobile applications for event-based travel planning and for situational planning. We plan to continue collecting requirements for designing the software for mapping the historical artifact related information (e.g. old maps available as images) to a contemporary electronic map. We will continue our works on building the infrastructure for time- and resource-consuming testing of mobile applications.
