研究実績の概要 |
This study aimed to determine the prevalence of seat belt and CRS use and identify parent/guardian attitudes and behaviour associated with CRS non-use in Aomori prefecture. Driver (99.3%) and front passenger (98.9%) seat belt use rates are high; however, back seat belt use by adults is only 25.7%. CRS use rates on hghways (86.5%) and medium to long-distance (81.2%) travel were releatively high, whereas use on short-distance drives was much lower (69.5%). Results showed that parents who use seat belts in the back seat are much more likely to use a CRS even on short trips compared with parents who do not, and lower levels of perceived susceptibility to an accident, sustaining an injury and injury severity on a short trip negatively affects CRS use on short trips.
