| 研究実績の概要 |
This year was mostly dedicated to the collection of pertinent information, analysis of the works of Watanabe, and the organization and redaction of the individual chapters that will comprise the book to be published. Additional biographical information was collected from family of Jose Watanabe whose poetry is the topic of the current research project, residing in Japan. This additional biographical information was analyzed and the relevant material was selected to be integrated into the initial chapter of the book to be published. Also, a good part of the year has been dedicated to negotiating the publishing of the proposed book. In addition, journal publications and presentations in academic circles were part of the yearly activities.

理由
The main reason for the delays related to the current project is because the main investigator was overseas on sabbatical leave. In addition, Palgrave, the American publishing company, with whom we hope to publish the results of the current research project, had misplaced our proposal. This caused delayed in negotiating the potential contract with the publisher.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
Currently the researchers are redacting the chapters that will comprise the book to be published. Each researcher has already completed a chapter and the group has started on the remaining chapters. This year will be mostly dedicated to compiling the necessary analytical and biographical information to the complete the book. In addition, the we intend to finalize negotiations with the publishing company and agree on the contractual terms.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The final year of the project includes final analysis of the field work and the collection of any necessary data to complement and substantiate the study. The primary activities will be dedicated to the editing, translating and redaction of the book to be published. Final contractual negotiations will be carried once the publication of approved by the publishing company. The hiring of professional editors and translators will be necessary in the redaction process. Contractual conditions will need to be negotiated for these editors and translators. Review and editing of the final draft are projected to be complete during this fiscal year.
