研究実績の概要 |
Fluency-oriented activities like the 4/3/2 task generally involve repetition to make gains in fluency. However, this could potentially reinforce grammatical errors. The study tested two means of addressing these concerns in a language classroom. In the first part, a self-transcription and awareness activity was done at home, between iterations of the fluency activity, and in the second part, an immediate self-awareness listening activity was done between iterations. During the previous year, the analysis of the data of the second part was completed, and some re-analysis of the data of the first part was also done. The results of the first part were presented at a conference in Hong Kong in 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the results of the second part have not been presented yet, but are planned to be presented at the Hawaii International Conference on Language and Literature Studies held in March of 2023.

The project itself is essentially complete, but conference presentations have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this project will be completed during this year.

During this year, the results of the two parts of this project will be written in two separate articles, as well as presented at one conference.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
It was planned to spend these funds on an international conference presentation in 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, travel was not possible. Therefore, this will be carried forward to be used in the 2022-2023 year, as the pandemic now seems to be nearing an end.
