研究実績の概要 |
This year’s research is devoted to identifying the key characteristics of product differentiation in container liner shipping industry through survey method. A questionnaire consisted of 30 indicators was designed. The questionnaire was distributed to real customers in container liner shipping industry online. Survey data are analysed and the results are discussed in two papers. One paper assesses the responsiveness of service recovery to customer satisfaction. This paper was presented in the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) conference and Japan Society of Logistics and Shipping Economics (JSLSE) annual conference in 2017. The full paper was shortlisted by a scientific journal and is currently under peer review process. The second paper applies both linear and non-linear methods to test the effect of each service dimension on customer satisfaction. Three key service dimensions are found to be more important the others. The results paved way for next step of research i.e. to estimate a discrete choice model incorporating key characteristics of service differentiation to measure market power in container liner shipping market. This paper has been submitted to and will be presented in international conference in 2018.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
今年度ではアンケート調査の実施とデータの整理を自力で行ったため、人件費が発生しませんでした。また、予定していた海外学会への参加は次年度に延期しました。次年度の研究状況にあわせて助成金を利用させていただく予定です。
