研究実績の概要 |
In 2019 I continued interviews including a former factory head and later Board Member of the Oiso (大磯) manufacturing site of National Cash Register, Mr. H. Suhr. This individual had a wealth of experience interacting with business leaders in Japan from labor to CEO level in Japan. Another key interview was with the founder of Hantro, a leading edge technology firm in Finland, Mr. Nikkila. Quantitative data was collected on a small scale for one survey and larger scale by a marketing firm for another survey. This last data includes over 400 respondents in two countries. Regression analysis has been completed, interpretation of the data is next.

理由
In addition to the achievements thus far (publication and numerous academic presentations), this research will analyze more deeply the comments and experiences of the interviewed negotiation leaders. That will lead to summary materials that contribute to classroom teaching materials as well as cases that I hope to publish. More challenging is the quantitative analysis which has been started but need additional work this year.

1) Use remaining funding to analyze texts of interviews for deeper understanding of issues. 2) complete the statistical analysis of the quantitative surveys. 3) prepare publications

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Remaining funds carried into 2020 Academic Year will be used mainly for software to accomplish qualitative analysis of texts derived from interviews. The COVID-19 situation will make accomplishment of the final steps slightly more difficult.
