Cognitive Schemata in Experienced Negotiators: A Comparison Across Cultures, Industries, and Skill Levels

研究実績の概要

In 2020 I completed follow up interviews and analysis of qualitative data. This analysis included text mapping using MaxQDA software and condensing of data in thematic tables. Key themes and ideals were identified. Specific examples of negotiator excellence and cognitive process were excerpted from the transcripts.
Qualitative data analysis and interpretation of the second survey, begun the previous year, continue. The main consideration is the moderating impact of variables.
Many points from the research are in use in my textbook which was released in updated form *2nd edition( in April 2020. Further, the findings from the research have been incorporated in classroom materials that are in use at Kyoto University in graduate and undergraduate courses.
Research output includes a conference proceedings article in 2018 that is partly informed by this research. Also a book chapter on schemata in negotiation in a historical Japanese context in 2019. One or more presentations at international academic events took place each year. In 2019 I gave invited presentations on the topics of this award at Aalto University, Heidelberg University, EM Lyon, Technical University of Munich, and other institutions.
