研究実績の概要 |
1)The growth control {001} facets of pure anatase phase TiO2 films was confirmed which contribute to the high thermal stability. 2)The well-arrayed ZnO/TiO2 core-shell nanorods are successfully achieved, which contribute to a high transmittance (around 70 %), a higher electron transfer, an excellent chemical stability, and relatively large surface area for gas absorption. 3)The ethanol vapor sensitivity of TiO2 was investigated. With the working temperature increased from 100 °C to 320 °C, the ethanol vapor sensitivity of TiO2 was enhanced, and recovery time of TiO2 was decreased from 220 s to 140 s. Compared with other samples, the TiO2 deposited with a TTIP concentration of 0.20 mol/L showed optimized sensitivity to ethanol vapor at 300 °C.

理由
The research process is going smoothly. The pure anatase phase TiO2 was successfully fabricated by novel mist CVD method. With the optimize the solution condition, the facet of the TiO2 was controlled well. the high thermal stability (up to 1000 degree) of TiO2 was achieved. The large surface area was achieved with the new synthesis technique and our previously ZnO nanorods fabrication method. The gas sensitivity examination was achieved for ethanol gas only. The gas sensitivity was well performed. However, due to the system limitation, the concentration and the room temperature experiment was not completely.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
The principle of gas sensitivity using the obtained TiO2 nanostructures will be revealed further. The result will be expected to apply to commercial product.
