研究実績の概要 |
This research proposed galvanic microencapsulation (GME) as a novel technique to passivate pyrite and prevent acid mine drainage formation and its most important achievements are: (1) galvanic interactions were better under acidic conditions, (2) ZVI was better than ZVAl in suppressing pyrite oxidation, (3) addition of phosphate in pyrite and ZVI system produced Fe-phosphate coatings that limited pyrite oxidation, (4) phosphate-enhanced GME was successfully applied in a ball mill using steel balls as Fe source, (5) GME improved coal and pyrite separation during flotation, (6) Fe-phosphate coatings could be formed at pH 1-3 even without ZVI, and (7) a potentially new process was discovered to create Fe-phosphate coatings on pyrite using acid mine drainage rich in ferrous ions.
