研究課題
The targets in proposed plan have been well fulfilled specified as following:1. A low-attachment substrates have been designed and optimized to create cardiac tissue ring with spontaneous traveling wave. 2. The cardiomyocytes trained by traveling wave demonstrated matured sarcomere structure, up-regulated gene expression, improved calcium handling properties and mitochondrial function. 3. A systems compatible to 24-well cell culture dish have been created for up scaled production of ring. 4. One Japanese patent has been submitted. “Circulating traveling waves enhance the maturation of hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes in self-organized tissue ring” has been sent out for review in Science Advance. Two other papers supported by the grant have been also published.
