The Weyl semimetals (WSs) are a kind of new topological materials, which have been predicted to have large spin-orbit effects and are important for fabricating energy-efficient devices. In this study, we successfully fabricated three WSs, i.e. WTe2, MoTe2, and Co2MnGa, by sputtering method, and investigated spin orbit effects in the WSs based heterostructures. After characterization of structural properties, sizeable spin orbit effects were observed in the sputtered WTe2 and MoTe2 thin films. Furthermore, a remarkable spin orbit effect with unique structural dependence was achieved in Co2MnGa thin films, which could be attributed to their electronic structures. The results may contribute to further understanding of spin-orbit effects in WSs for developing future energy-efficient IT devices.
