研究実績の概要 |
During this second year, we developed a HW and SW system to train ASD children to follow music tempo. The subject's movement is recognized by an ecological visual recognition system, with a HD camera and the OpenPose image recognition. Original tempo-training algorithms were developed to implement the training protocol. These algorithms are adaptive, and the tempo is changed according to the recorded data from the subject in real time. If the subject is too slow and does not follow the music tempo, tempo is increased to bring the subject to increase their tempo. These algorithms not only can be used for training, but also record the training session data automatically so the subject's improvement session after session can be monitored.

理由
We progressed smoothly on the developments, but the experiments with subjects (Task07-08) have been a little delayed because it is difficult to schedule appointments with children and their busy parents. For this reason, we asked an extension of the project. However, except for the delay in the experimental testing, everything went smoother than initially planned, thanks to the support from our expert psychologist.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
During this extension year, we will carry on more experiments and validate the final results. And we are planning to write the final analysis on renowned journals in the field.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
We were a little late with experiments with ASD children because it is difficult to set up a schedule with the children and their accompanying parents. So we will carry out more final validating experiments in the next year.
