The research project has proceeded as expected. In the first year, the robot HW and SW has been improved and user interface systems have been added in the control loop. In the second year, adaptive tempo and facial expression differentiation training algorithms and protocols have been developed with the help of psychologists, and pre-tested with non-disabled, young individuals to measure the performances. In the last year, the training system and protocols have been tested with both non-disabled and disabled children, to evaluate its usability and effectiveness.
Results will be analyzed and published in well established field journals.
