研究概要

東南アジア各国の地下資源は大きなポテンシャルを有していると考えられているが、どのような資源をどの程度保有しているか、科学的根拠を持つ情報が欠如している。そのためどの地域をどのような手法で探査し、どのように開発すればよいかという効率的な指針を各国で立てることが困難となっている。無計画な資源開発は甚大な環境汚染、自然破壊をもたらす。また、これらの国への我が国の資源開発援助は効果的に実施されているとは言い難い。本研究の目的は東南アジアの鉱物資源、エネルギー資源のポテンシャルを正確に評価することである。そのために地球資源情報を現地にて収集し、それらに基づく精度の高い統合解析システムを構築することを目指している。
