研究概要

酸素発生型光合成電子伝達系で機能する光エネルギー変換装置を高度に精製し、そのサブユニットとコファクター組成の詳細を明らかにし、結晶化を進めた。その結果、構成サブユニットの役割を明らかにし、立体構造解析を進展させた。また、複雑な構造をもつ光エネルギー変換装置生合成の分子機構を明らかにし、分子集合モデルを提出した。さらに、異なる光環境下で光エネルギー変換装置の構造と機能の再構築の分子機構を解明した。
