ジョーンズ行列型光コヒーレンスエラストグラフィー法の確立と皮膚科学への応用

研究実績の概要

1.The elastography technique was applied in the Jones matrix optical coherence tomography (JM-OCT). And thus, the compression-based Jones-matrix optical coherence elastography (JM-OCE) has been developed. A new probe was especially designed for measuring the mechanical properties of elastic tissues.
2.The measurement controlling program has been written and integrated with hardware. The new post-processing program was created based on the digital shifting complex correlation method to generate the maps of tissue biomechanical properties.
3.Some preliminary experiments on different kinds of the ex vivo animal tissues for confirming the system performance have been taken.

理由

1.Following the purpose and proposal of this study, the compression-based Jones matrix optical coherence elastography apparatus has been built.
2.The initial measurement control and post-processing programs have been written. Some experiments on ex vivo animal tissues have been done. By means of the JM-OCT system, the axial and lateral displacements, and microstructural decorrelation maps can be achieved.
3.The results have been demonstrated that the biomechanical properties of the elastic tissues can be visualized by JM-OCT. The multifunctional measurement is going to be carried out in the following work.

今後の研究の推進方策

Firstly, the performance of the system should be further improved, and the multifunctional measurement will be completed by improving the program.
Then, the tissue birefringence and elastic properties will be evaluated by the Jones matrix optical coherence elastography (JM-OCE).
Finally, the relationship between the optical (birefringence, intensity) and mechanical (elasticity) properties of tissues will be investigated by applying JM-OCE.
