In the academic year 2022 I had the opportunity of spending a substantial amount of time at German and US universities. In July 2022 I was invited by Prof. Eric Watkins of the University of California at San Diego, who is also a fellow of the Gutenberg Kolleg at Mainz University in Germany, to join him in Germany for commenting on some of each other's manuscripts. This occurred on a different scheme and turned out to be a very intense and highly fruitful meeting: one manuscript is now almost ready for publication, while another one will become a key part of a new book project.
From October to November 2022 I was a visiting fellow at the Princeton Project in Philosophy and Religion at Princeton University, hosted by Professor Andrew Chignell and funded by this kaken project. At Princeton, I was invited to give several lectures, all of which were on topics directly connected to the Kaken project.
In February 2023 I was invited by Prof. Watkins again, this time to California and also funded by this kaken project, where I had the good fortune to be able to meet regularly with Prof Karl Ameriks, one of the leading Kant scholars of our time. At a lecture I gave at the so-called History of Philosophy Roundtable, I had the opportunity to present my views on Kant's doctrine of things in themselves and its background in philosophical theology.
Finally, on 24 February 2023 I was awarded a prize by the North American Kant Society and delivered a lecture in Denver, entitled: "Free Will, Foreknowledge, and Creation: Further Explorations of Kant's Molinism".

理由
Because of the many opportunities I had of presenting papers in international settings, I have received many extremely helpful suggestions and comments. It is advisable to address these comments before publishing the papers, and I intend to do this in this year.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
This year will be dedicated to paper writing. Basically all the research has been done and drafts of papers have already been prepared. All that is necessary now is to fine-tune them. One manuscript has already been submitted for the International Kant Conference in Bonn, 2024. In addition to this there are three drafts of further papers: The first paper will be entitled "Free Will, Foreknowledge, and Creation: Further Explorations of Kant's Molinism". It will be submitted to "Kantian Review". The working title of the second one is "Kant's Soft Determinism: The Pitfalls of Domestication" and will be submitted to the "European Journal of Philosophy". A third one has the working title "Divine Ideas and Things in Themselves: Augmenting the Two-Aspects View of Kant's Distinction". I have not decided yet to which journal it will be sent.
