Collaborated with researchers from Europe and Japan in the field of Tocharian and Indo-European linguistics. In particular, collaboration with Athanaric Huard (Doctorant EPHE, PSL) and Yuima Inaba (Research Fellow, Kyoto Koka Women’s University) resulted in the third paper in our series on Tocharian Abhidharma texts. This paper follows upon our study of the Tocharian A manuscripts 384-386 and is a comprehensive investigation into the Tocharian B manuscript 199. Like the second installment in our series, the paper has been accepted and is currently in preparation for publication.
I have also completed and published an extensive study on the verbs Tocharian B au-n-, A o-n-. In the paper, I conduct a comprehensive survey of the occurrences of these verbs and propose a meaning ‘penetrate, pierce’ for the active forms that sheds light on some problematic passages. Included is an appendix with a complete list of attestations.
From March 18 to 28 I travelled to Paris and collaborated with researchers from the Comprehensive Edition of Tocharian Manuscripts (CEToM) project and the HisTochText (History of the Tocharian texts of the Pelliot Collection) project. In addition to presenting our work on the Tocharian Abhidharma texts and updating the CEToM database, we were able to study Tocharian manuscripts at the Bibliotheque nationale de France.
