Based on the conceptual and empirical research papers in the globalization of Asian multinational enterprises (MNCs) and their sustainability strategies developed during FY2018 and FY2019, in FY2020, I have continued to complete these research papers with important implications for theories, management practices, and government policies in Japan and other countries. Such implications aim to providing recommendations on how the globalization of Asian MNCs could address the sustainability goals of all concerned stakeholders in the new global environment. These papers address the sustainability issues related their foreign direct investment, corporate governance, and stakeholder management. Particularly, I have integrated insights from multiple theoretical perspectives to create interdisciplinary theoretical perspectives. Besides, I have addressed the recent phenomena in the global environment to create theoretical arguments that could solve contemporary problems of practitioners, policy makers, and societies. In addition, I have adopted the multi-level approach to the research to broaden the analytical scopes and levels of interactions between MNCs and their external environment to cater for the better understanding of the indispensable collaboration among the private and the public sector, and other stakeholders to concurrently bring the profitability to MNCs and the sustainability to the broader societies.
